Information Programs

     AzNET Project
     The project is directed on amplification, expansion and provision of conditions for further steady growth of the national academic, research and educational and community information networks in Azerbaijan. The objectives of the Project are coordination of efforts of all the parties concerned from various sectors including those of educational, science, ICT, civil society and noncommercial and profitless public sector background. The Project will facilitate and streamline data both within educational and academic sectors of the country as well as with their foreign colleagues enabling expansion of information exchange between regions and interested parties both inside and outside Azerbaijan. Another important feature of the project is its consolidating nature since all the key players will concert their efforts in the respective sector.

     eRider Project
     This project will be implemented with use of the approach and concept first was piloted in USA - Circuit Riders. The idea of Circuit Riders is that, the Circuit Rider (also called eRider) is a roving consultant, who works on one-to-one basis with many NGOs, helping organizations to develop and implement information and communication technology strategy designed especially for organization's needs and specificity. The circuit rider may also provide advice and guidance on standards and organizational policies relating to technology, fundraising for technology, development and usage of customized databases, development of effective website and other uses of the internet, allocation of staff resources, finding and hiring technical support staff and outsourcing services, particular issues such as picking the right internet service and protecting data.

     Global Internet Policy Initiative
     Information Problems Analyzing is an non-government organization targeted to promote the adoption of legal and regulatory frameworks that will support the growth of an open, democratic, affordable, decentralized, market driven and user-controlled Internet - an Internet that can drive economic growth and advance human development in countries with transient economy. IPAC are working to convene dialogue and build informed consensus among all stakeholders, providing objective expertise on policy issues, commenting on draft legislation, and assisting policymakers and civil society in achieving a better understanding of the legal environment needed for the Internet to develop. IPAC serves as a resource to local stakeholders in the Internet policy development processes.
