The growth that the program has witnessed has led to the development of other projects, including the introduction of web centers in several of the area's universities and to the outlying cities of Ganja and Mingechevir. As a result, the interest in these technologies has exploded into such groups as: academic and scientific research institutions, universities and high schools, mass media, non-governmental organizations, libraries, medical institutions, and museums. Over the 3 year period the OSI-IP provided grants totaling over $185,000 to World Hope International, Akhundov's Library, Khazar University, Baku State University, Azerbaijan Oil Academy, ISAR, and IATP. The innovations and hunger for new ideas of OSI's Internet program has put them on the leading edge of Internet technologies throughout Azerbaijan.
