REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION CENTRES

With the purpose of extending its activities within the country, as well as with the purpose of ensuring achievement of higher level of efficiency in course of holding different events, in 1999 OSI - Assistance Foundation started implementation of the Project of Regional Educational Information Centres. Said Project provides for opening of Educational Information Centres, which will operate in co-operation with four high educational establishments in different regions of Azerbaijan.

One such Centre successfully operates in the Azerbaijan Agricultural Academy located in Ganja. Then the similar centers were opened in the Mingachevir Polytechnics Institute and two Regional Educational Information Centres in the Lankaran and Nakhchivan State Universities.

Some types of activities of Educational Information Centres include collection of information about educational systems of other countries and provision of free access to such information; organization of workshops to prepare for tests, like TOEFL, GRE, GMAT with the purpose of entrance into universities, as well as provision with relevant means of study; provision of free access of the Centre members to the Internet.
