GEORGE SOROS in AZERBAIJAN

The founder of the Open Society Institute George Soros has attended the Open Society Institute-Assistance Foundation office during his visit to Baku on May 29th. Mr. Soros who met with Board and staff members of OSI-AF was interested in the programs being implemented and activities being carried out by OSI-AF.

During his meeting with the staff members Mr. Soros spoke about the main objectives of his visit to Azerbaijan and reported on his meeting with President Mr. Heydar Aliyev. Head of Soros Foundations network who said nice words about the future of Azerbaijan also stated that OSI-AF will further continue its activities. He had an opinion exchange with the local representatives on the prospects of the programs, which are developed by the Foundation.
